She has spentcountless hours through SEIU Homecare Bargaining Team ensuring that HCW’s and PSW’s voice, wage increases, medical benefits and training be secured through contracts. Cristal has shown she is reliable, up to date on latest legislative issues concerning HCW’s; PSW’s current status with issues that directly affect the work caregivers provide on a daily basis. As a District Director myself, I highly recommend you vote for Cristal DeJarnac.

Rising up in the ranks of member leadership for six years or so before being elected Homecare President, Cristal DeJarnac has served us well and constantly pushes for progress for our workforce. As President, Cristal supports the leadership of your local Director by presiding over Homecare Council and was Co-Chair of the bargaining team, which nailed another awesome contract-her third time on the Bargaining Team!
Cristal has forged relationships with representatives from OHCC, ODHS, ODDS, and OHA to have allies who will listen to the needs of our workers and to address issues that you know all too well. She also takes advantage of opportunity to meet the real decision makers--members of the Oregon Legislature, who advise the Governor on our program and budget and she has given testimony during legislative proceedings. In addition, Cristal helps represent Homecare on the state SEIU503 Board, sits on various committees, such as the Joint Labor Management Committee, PEMS meetings (to work toward a universal provider number) and OHCC weekly meetings.
Cristal doesn't just show up; she shows up informed, with a plan and with diplomacy. If you want a leader who lives and breathes SEIU Homecare, vote for Cristal! If you want someone to attend to different facets of our workforce who collaborates and constantly pushes to hold state entities accountable

My opinion of Cristal DeJarnac as a leader in the union. She responds quickly to questions no matter where she is and always has/or finds resolutions to problems in reasonable timing. I have not had a question she couldn’t answer or a problem she couldn’t help me solve yet. She is very knowledgeable of the union and she is not a procrastinator.
In my opinion Cristal DeJarnac is my number one choice to represent me and our union.
